A Federal High Court in Abuja has revoked the bail granted to Faisal Abdulrasheed Maina, who is facing charges of embezzlement of N58 million.
He is the son of former chairman of the Nigerian Pensions Regulatory Commission, Garanbawul Abdurasheed Maina, is also accused of owning a bank account used to conduct money laundering.
It was reported that in the continuation of the case in Abuja on Tuesday, Justice Akon Abang revoked Faisal Maina’s bail for refusing to appear in court and his client refusing to appear in court.
The court has asked his lawyer to appear before it on November 25, 2020.
Earlier, the court heard Abdul-rasheed Maina’s case but in absentia.
Mr. Faisal was arraigned on October 25 on three counts of money laundering and illegal bank account possession.
