Maryam Sanda death sentence upheld by the court

Today, a three man panel dismissed Mrs. Sanda’s appeal for lacking any merit and the judgement uphold her death sentence by hanging.

Maryam Sanda – The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has dismissed the appeal of Mrs Maryam Sanda and upheld her death sentence following the murder of her husband.

She was previously convicted by a Federal High court in Abuja for murdering her husband, late Mr. Bilyaminu Bello.

Today, a three man panel dismissed Mrs. Sanda’s appeal for lacking any merit and the judgement uphold her death sentence by hanging.

She was said to killed her husband because after she saw some nude photos in her late husband’s phone.

The deceased was a cousin of former Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Haliru Bello.
