PSG’s match against Istanbul Basaksehir has been suspended due to alleged racist comments made by the fourth referee official.
The duo suspended their Champions League match on Tuesday night in France just 14 minutes into the match.
It was shortly after the game was stopped that Istanbul player Demba Ba urged his team mates to leave the pitch and players from both team left the pitch.
Basaksehir accused one of the Romanian referees of using abusive language during a confrontation with their assistant coach, Pierre Webo, a former Cameroonian international.
When the game was stopped, Istanbul player, Demba Ba said to the fourth official that why would he call their assistant coach a ‘Negro’, saying that the fourth official wouldn’t call a someone else a ‘white guy.’
The match will now be played today Wednesday with new referees to be appointed for the game.
Football authorities are also investigating the allegations.
