The Nigerian Army Operation Hadarin Daji has rescued 10 hostages held by armed bandits in Zamfara State.

A spokesman for the Nigeria Defense Forces (NDF), Major General John Enenche, said they were rescued on Sunday.

He said they were able to rescue the people after their forces received an emergency call from Yenyewa village that armed bandits were spotted in the area.
