Easy ways to check if your NIN is successfully linked to your MTN, Glo, Airtel, 9mobile SIM



Nigerian Government announced on January 19 as deadline for Nigerians with National Identification Number to link up their SIMs with there NIN.

For mobile subscribers that haven’t registered for National Identification Number, the deadline to update SIM with NIN is 9th February, 2021.

To know if your SIM is linked to your NIN with your MTN line

From Twitter

Network subscribers should dial *785#

After dialing the USSD code, it would give you option to input your NIN.

Enter your 11 digit numbers. A message will display as “successfully” receive your NIN.

Note: The National Identity Management Commission will verify the NIN you submitted to your network provider.

If you are sure you have linked your NIN number,you can try it again untill you see a success message.

To know if you have linked your NIN to your Glo line

Glo network providers will send you a message “successfully” receive your NIN, if your NIN has been linked up.

If you had updated your NIN via text message sent to 109, Glo will send a reply to the message, whether it is successful or not.

If you also dialled *109#, Glo will ask you to enter your 11 digits NIN Number, you will receive “Successful” message.

Also, you can repeat the process more than once to be sure it was successful linked.

To know if you have linked your NIN to your 9mobile

Dial *200*8#

After dialing the USSD code above,it will display two options; whether you want to verify if you have linked your NIN to your 9mobile SIM or you want to link it.

Press 1 to send to verify.

A message will display to show you whether you have successfully link your NIN to your SIM or not

To know if you don link your NIN to your Airtel

If you have linked your NIN to your Airtel line by dialling *121*1#. Airtel will send you a message saying you have successfully entered your 11 digits NIN and they will get back to you after verification from NIMC.

If you didn’t get this message, retry until you have get a message that you have successfully update your AIRTEL Sim.

The National Identify Management commission, will update and verify your sim and AIRTEL will send you a message on it’s success.
