Fresh Bandit Attack In Niger Leaves 21 Killed & 40 Persons Kidnapped

In a sad report, 21 people have been confirmed dead in a fresh bandit attack.

The attack which occurred on four communities in Shiroro local government area of Niger State also saw the kidnapping on 40 other people.

The report about the attack was made by THE NATION and in the report, over 100 gunmen who were riding on motorcycles invaded these four communities.

The communities invaded are Kurebe, Sabon Gida, Sararai, and Rafin Kanya and once they got to each community, they started shooting.

Speaking to reporters, one resident said;

“They seem to know who they were looking for. It was very terrible. I sustained an injury on my legs and I am currently receiving treatment.”

Also confirming the attack was the Secretary to the Niger State Government, Ahmed Ibrahim Matane.

In his confirmation, he stated that at the moment, the total number of people killed or kidnapped is not known, however, he stated that the state government is trying everything possible to bring an end to these bandit attacks.
