I Am LAYCON, a reality TV series which follows the life of BBNaija season 5 winner, Olamilekan Agbeleshe popularly known as Laycon and his crew made of his family and friends.
The show is a transition of Laycon into stardom in the Nigerian Entertainment industry and Africa at large.
Showmax began streaming the series on 10th February, 2021 and it set record in less than two weeks as the most streamed Nigerian movie on Showmax after it was published.
According to Showmax Public Relations Officer, Onna Okafor, ‘I Am Laycon’ which happens to be Showmax’s first ever Nigerian original shot, has the highest ever premiere-day number of views for any show on the streaming service in Nigeria, surpassing that of Big Brother Naija.
The show remains top spot on most-popular shows on Showmax in Nigeria and that is a week after it’s debut!
I Am Laycon which premiered at midnight on Friday had trended on twitter thanks to the singers’ loyal and FIERCE fanbase who call themselves ICONS, with many of the fans losing sleep just to see the first five episodes of the show.
The show is currently available for streaming in 26 countries namely, Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Iceland, Indonesia, Ireland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Italy, France and Germany.
The next five episodes of I Am LAYCON will be available for streaming exclusively on Showmax on the 4th of March.
