To commemorate the 2021 Easter festivities, the federal government has designated Friday, April 2, and Monday, April 5, as public holidays.

He encouraged Christians to imitate Jesus Christ’s characteristics of forbearance, forgiveness, compassion, modesty, devotion, goodwill, and patience.
The minister urged them to use this year’s Easter celebration as an opportunity to pray for our country’s peace, unity, and progress.
Aregbesola promised that the Nigerian government would leave no stone unturned in coping decisively with the recent spate of kidnappings, armed banditry, and other crimes and criminality perpetrated by enemies of the nation in various parts of the country.
“Security is everyone’s business,” he said. “I therefore urge all Nigerians and foreigners residing in Nigeria to show high levels of patriotism at this crucial juncture in our country’s history by supporting the efforts of all security agencies in ensuring peace and security of lives and property of the citizenry,” he said.
