Ahmed Musa, the captain of the Super Eagles, has formally signed with Kano Pillars.

Musa has agreed to a contract extension with the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) club until the end of the season.

In 2009, the winger was the NPFL’s top scorer with 18 goals when playing for the Kano club.

The club agreed to the deal after negotiations with Musa and the League Management Company of Nigeria, according to Pillars’ Media Officer, Rilwanu Idris Malikawa (LMC).

“Ahmed Musa is one of our own, and Pillars FC will continue to help him wherever he goes,” Malikawa said.

Musa has agreed to leave if he receives a bid, according to the contract.

Musa has been without a club since leaving Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr last year, and he came close to joining West Brom this season.
