Former President Goodluck Jonathan has expressed sadness over the passing of a former acting governor of Bayelsa State, Nestor Binabo.
In his condolence message made available to journalists on Tuesday by his media adviser, Ikechukwu Eze, Jonathan condoled Binabo’s family and the government of Bayelsa.
He described the deceased as an experienced lawmaker and patriot who made considerable contributions to the development of the state.
Jonathan said, “I condole with the Binabo family and the Government and people of Bayelsa State on the death of Nestor Binabo, former acting Governor of the State.
“He will be sorely missed by people from all walks of life, especially for his patriotism and service to humanity.”
Jonathan prayed that God comforts the family of Binabo, who died in an Abuja hospital a few days ago after a protracted illness.
