Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has begged Nigerians to be patient with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu amid the hardship occasioned by the fuel subsidy removal policy.
Bishop Stephen Adegbite, CAN chairman, Lagos Chapter, made this plea while speaking with journalists in Abuja.
DAILY POST recalls that Nigeria Labour Congress and other labour unions embarked on a nationwide protest on Wednesday, protesting the hardship of the fuel subsidy removal.
However, NLC suspended its strike after meeting with Tinubu.
Meanwhile, speaking on the economic woes Nigerians are battling with, Bishop Adegbite called for patience and calm.
“We have to endure for now; Mr President said there are better days ahead, and by the special grace of God, in another six months, Nigeria will sing a new song, Nigeria will be delivered.
“Mr President is a very compassionate individual, we have known for more than 27 years; even as an individual, he does not like people suffering around him,” he stated.
