Ember months: Bayelsa CP orders raid on flashpoints, criminal hideouts

The Bayelsa State Commissioner of Police, CP Tolani Alausa, has ordered the constant raid of flash points and criminal hideouts in the state.

DAILY POST gathered that the state police command also rejigged its security architecture to confront the security challenges associated with the ember months.

A statement sent to DAILY POST, on Friday, through the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Asinim Butswat, said that the Commissioner charged Divisional Police Officers, Tactical Commanders, and other operatives to constantly raid flash spots, and criminal hideouts, to intensify surveillance and patrols in the nooks and crannies of the state, and be on alert at all times.

The police affirmed its commitment to public safety and reducing crimes to the barest minimum. It commended the public for its support and assistance with useful information about the activities of criminals in their communities.
