The Force Commander (FC) Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), Maj Gen GU Chibuisi, has charged the troops to ensure total eradication of Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists hibernating in the Lake Chad Basin region.
Lieutenant Colonel Kamarudeen Adegoke, Chief Military Public Information Officer, MNJTF, in a statement, said the Force Commander stated this at Djouguia N’Djamena during the closing ceremony of the nautical training organised for troops of the MNJTF.
He further charged the troops to put to use the skills acquired during trainings, adding that training of troops was a necessary tool for capacity building to enhance their effective performance.
According to him, vibrant and positive attitude of the troops towards training showed their commitment towards the fight against terrorists activities, adding that relevant training has continued to provide troops with requisite skills to confront the terrorists.
“This has in turn paved way for a peaceful and secured environment that has enabled internally displaced persons to return to their ancestral homes. It has also led to an improvement in socio – economic activities in the communities and encouraged many terrorists to surrender to troops,” he said in a statement.
Gen Chibuisi expressed his appreciation to the strategic partners for facilitating the training.
