The Minority Caucus of the House of Representatives has congratulated the Speaker of House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila on his appointment as Chief of Staff to President Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

The caucus in a statement signed by its spokesman, Dr Francis Ottah Agbo , also felicitated the immediate past Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Sen. (Dr.) George Akume on his appointment as Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).

In the statement, the caucus described the appointments as well deserved saying both Gbajabiamila and Akume are best suited for the positions they were appointed to man.

The caucus stated: “With his reputation for excellent talent hunting and penchant for putting round pegs in round holes, President Tinubu has again hit the bull’s eye with his appointment of Speaker Gbajabiamila as his Chief of Staff and Senator Akume as Secretary to the Government of the Federation as both men are best suited for the positions.

“The two leaders are tested administrators who have the requisite qualification and experience to give the technical support needed for the success of the new administration.

“For Gbajabiamila, who is the speaker of the 9th Assembly, we can say without iota of doubt that he has the poise and sagacity to discharge his duties effectively, while for Akume, who is one of the most respected political leaders in Benue State, we equally know that he will galvanize the required steam to keep the engine of government rolling for efficient delivery of democracy dividends to the people.

“The caucus wishes the two leaders God’s guidance and blessings as they prepare to resume at their new offices. Congratulations!”
