Former governorship candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, Prophet Chris Adol-awam, on Monday, said that stakeholders of the Izzi Clan will not allow Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, to fail.

Adol-awam, who is the General Overseer of the Eternal Light of World Christian Church, made this known while speaking with newsmen, at the dinner organised by Nwifuru for the elected State House of Assembly members.

Adol-awam, who recently defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, said if the Nwifuru fails, it will affect Izzi people, but if he succeeds, it will be to the credit of Izzi people, and as such, the stakeholders can’t leave him alone.

“We have been praying for our governor, Nwifuru, for God to strengthen him with the heart to be independent from his former boss, David Umahi. This is because, if Nwifuru fails, the entire generation of Izzi clan has failed.

“Nwifuru is now the governor, and must be detached from his former boss, David Umahi. He should not disrespect him (Umahi) but must have an independent mind to take decisions that are favourable to the people of the state,” he stated.

The General Overseer, Prophet Adol-awam, however, called on Nwifuru to constitute economic experts to help him revive the economy of the state, and shouldn’t depend on taxation and federal allocation alone.
