Abia State Governor, Alex Otti has pledged to build synergy with the newly-inaugurated members of the tenth National Assembly with the desire to unite the state across party lines and bring the gains of democracy to the doorsteps of people of the state.
He made the pledge in a statement by Ferdinand Ekeoma, his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, congratulating the newly elected principal officers of the 10th leadership of the Nigerian Senate and the House of Representatives.
Otti admonished the federal lawmakers of Abia origin to ensure they put the interest of the state above individuals or personal aggrandizement.
While restating his administration’s promise to offer support to the federal lawmakers, the Governor felicitated with the member representing Bende federal constituency, Hon Benjamin Kalu on his recent emergence as the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Otti also reiterated to give each of them the necessary support and cooperation required to succeed in their various offices
