Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State, on Monday, charged his newly sworn-in appointees to brace up for the challenges ahead by discharging their duties with the highest ability and humility for the development of the state.
Swearing in Prof. Bello Ayuba as the Principal Private Secretary to the governor and Samuel Aruwan as the Administrator of Kaduna Capital Territory Authority (KCTA), the governor announced the latter’s nomination as a Commissioner, pending his confirmation by the State House of Assembly,
The governor said, “I detailed Samuel Aruwan to oversee the affairs of the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs.”
Aruwan is a long-standing journalist and immediate past/pioneer Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, while Prof. Bello Ayuba is a seasoned academic and administrator.
Aruwan was given additional responsibility to oversee the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs activities pending the appointment of Commissioners in the state.
The governor expressed optimism that the two appointees would play significant roles in the formulation and execution of the present administration’s policies, programmes and projects in the next four years.
“We are confident that the experience they bring on board will be beneficial in the delivery of our promises to the good people of Kaduna State. We must at all time, serve the public interest and put service before self,” the governor said.
He explained that the present times are challenging now more than ever, saying that it is an individual and collective task for all to help stabilize the state and place it on the path to sustainable peace and development.
He added that it was for that reason that the present administration is putting together a solid team of experienced, innovative, creative, dedicated and committed individuals with a passion for service.
