The Commander, Training and Doctrine Command Nigerian Army, Major General Kelvin Aligbe has advocated for constant training for officers and soldiers of the Nigerian Army to ensure utmost performance and professionalism.

General Aligbe stated this at the closing ceremony of the Combined Mid-Year Courses Appraisal Curriculum Harmonization Workshop Research and Development Conference 2023 held at the Headquarters of TRADOC NA in Minna.

He noted that training remains paramount to the Nigerian Army in the discharge of its constitutional duties.

Gen. Aligbe explained that the event, which had Deputy Commandants of NA training in attendance, is aimed at building capacity for optimum performance and professionalism in the NA training institutions in tandem with international best practice.

He added, “the conference created an enabling environment for interaction and brainstorming on ideas that will promote and enhance learning. I urge participants to take lessons learnt to their various schools and develop curricula that will aid the Nigeria Army in its Operations”.

While commending the facilitators, moderators and discussants for bringing in their expertise during the event, the commander thanked the Chief of Army Staff, Maj Gen TA Lagbaja for approving logistics for the smooth conduct of the event.

Earlier, the Acting Director Training Headquarters, TRADOC Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Mbaka, stated in his vote of thanks that the five days of training had afforded the participants the opportunity to learn new skills that will aid them in developing a quality curriculum for the NA training institutions in line with the international best practice.
