A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Robert Clarke, SAN, has said that nothing will come out of Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi’s appeal to the Supreme Court.

DAILY POST recalls that the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, PEPT, on Wednesday, upheld the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, but his challengers have vowed to proceed to the Supreme Court.

Tinubu’s victory is being challenged by Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who came second in the election, and third-placed Peter Obi of the Labour Party.

Appearing on Channels Television on Sunday, Clarke noted that all the matters presented by Atiku and Obi at the tribunal have already been adjudged at the Supreme Court.

“In my personal view, and I believe my personal view is enriched with my past experience in the dispensation of justice at the bar.

“I have every belief and I seriously believe that the unanimous judgement of the Court of Appeal is unassailable, it is as fixed as you can fix anything and I can assure that if there is an appeal, I doubt if anything can come out of the appeal. Let us be clear to ourselves.

“All the matters, based on law that were brought before the tribunal, had already been adjudged by the apex court in this country.”
