Nigerian singer Teniola Apata, simply known as Teni, has urged the Super Eagles to go all out when they face South Africa’s Bafana Bafana in the semi finals of the ongoing African Cup of Nations, AFCON, on Wednesday.

She urged star striker Victor Osimhen and his teammates to ensure they demolish the South Africans in a bid to avenge the defeat of some Nigerian artists in the hand of South African singer, Tyla, at the 66th Grammys.

DAILY POST reports that the Nigerian quintet of Burna Boy, Ayra Starr, Davido, Asake and Olamide were snubbed at the 66th Grammys on Sunday, with Tyla, the only non-Nigerian nominee in the maiden Best African Music Performance category, picking up the award.

Reacting in a video message shared via her social media page, Teni pleaded with the Super Eagles players to avenge the Grammy loss of their compatriots by defeating South Africa in the semifinal clash at Bouaké’s Stade de la Paix, in Cote D’Ivoire.

She said, “Grammy there’s a problem. We have many parties. You have killed our groove.

“South Africa, Tyla’s ‘Water.’ Alright. [Victor] Osimhen, over to you. [Ademola] Lookman, over to you. South Africa, you will dance Amapiano after your AFCON defeat. You killed my groove. Grammy why?”
