Police, NSCDC reaffirm commitment to collaborate against crime in Rivers

The Rivers State Police Command has expressed its readiness to strengthen collaboration with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to combat crime.

Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Nwonyi Polycarp-Emeka, stated this during a courtesy visit to the NSCDC Command Headquarters in Port Harcourt.

The CP noted that a holistic approach to security through prompt intelligence sharing and formidable inter-agency collaborations will enhance effective service delivery, especially in the fulfilment of the statutory mandate of every security outfit.

The state NSCDC commandant, Basil Igwebueze, in a statement by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Olumide Ayodele, assured the police authority of synergy to rid the state of criminals.
